Mole & Skin Lesion Removal
Assessment and removal of moles and skin lesions using appropriate clinical technique.
What's involved
Not every mole or lesion is removed the same way — the right technique depends on its size, depth and location, and may involve shave excision, punch removal, cautery or a small surgical excision. Dr. Khan examines the lesion in clinic first to decide which approach is appropriate.
The visit
At your appointment, the lesion is examined closely and its history discussed — how long it's been present, whether it has changed in size, shape or colour. If there's any concern about the nature of a lesion, it may be sent for lab analysis after removal, purely as a precaution.
Aftercare
You'll be given clear wound-care instructions to take home, along with an expected healing timeline. A short follow-up is usually scheduled to check on healing and share any lab results, where applicable.
